The Victoria Cross is the highest and most prestigious decoration of British medals. It is awarded for valour "in the presence of the enemy" to members of the British Armed Forces. The Royal Warwickshire Regiment was an infantry regiment which was in continuous existence for 283 years and has been linked to the county since 1782.
